Dr. Cori explains mammogram alternatives

Are Mammograms Still The Gold Standard?

We are kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a chat about mammograms. If you are a woman over 40, you more than likely plan to have a mammogram every year. And if you’re reading this thinking my doctor hasn’t mentioned an annual mammogram to me and I’m over 40, don’t be alarmed, but definitely […]

If you have diabetes, you have likely been told by somebody, I hope, to eat foods that are low-glycemic. And I would agree and advocate the same regardless of diabetes status. In fact, the foundation of chronic disease management and prevention is aligned with eating low-glycemic foods. There are a few nuances to that, depending on the condition, but in general, eating low-glycemic foods minimizes fluctuations in blood sugar and minimizes inflammation.

Bringing Home TNS Masterclass Part 1

I just got back from The Nutritious Life Studio (TNS) Masterclass in New York City this past weekend. And I can’t even begin to tell you what an amazing experience it was. I learned so much from some pretty amazing people and I am bursting at the seams to tell you all about it. But first, I’m sure you’re wondering, what the heck is The Nutritious Life Studio (TNS) Masterclass?

Dr Cori discusses the problem with vulnerability

Vulnerability sucks. There’s probably a better way to say that, but that’s how it can feel sometimes. For example, every time I invite someone in, be it on my blog, my Weekly Wine Chats, in my yoga classes, on social media, or share my business, there’s some vulnerability in that. I’m sure you have similar examples of vulnerability at work, in your relationships, or maybe even in building a business. The problem with vulnerability though, is “you have to feel it, to heal it.” Let me say that again…

Dr. Cori, health consultant for career moms, shares how to protect your dreams from people's opinions

I learned the phrase “protect your punch bowl” from success coach, Darren Hardy. It immediately resonated with me and I wanted to share it with you. It’s Mardi Gras season here in New Orleans, so there will be many parties and many punch bowls filled with probably more liquors than the creator will admit to. But once you get that perfectly flavored Mardi Gras punch, the last thing you want is for someone to say, “I think it needs more pineapple juice!” And now it’s ruined….

Dr. Cori shares how to make the journey to your goals feel like you've already achieved them

Have you ever heard that saying, “The journey should feel like the destination.”?  It’s this idea that the steps you take along the way to your goals should feel create the same feelings as achieving the goal itself.  Because it’s a “feeling “we’re chasing, not so much a “goal”.

Dr. Cori shares her 5 secrets for being back to work ready after baby

There’s nothing more overwhelming than having to go back to work with a newborn who is only 3 months. This little person has been attached to you literally for these last few weeks and now you have to leave them with someone else? And likely a total stranger at that. I remember that day vividly. My son was 4 months and I was breastfeeding. Breastfeeding adds a whole different dynamic to leaving your child. Feeding my son alone was the most stressful thing, trying to travel and pump and freeze milk, hoping I had enough. Now that was stressful!

Get more hours in your day with Dr. Cori

Moms are always talking about how busy they are, “not enough hours in the day”. No time to cook dinner, so let me pick something up on the way home. No time for exercise because I go to work early and get home late. No time for myself because I have to work, go to the grocery store, do homework with the kids, and cook dinner. There are just not enough hours in the day.
