You Thought You Had
Traveling, a nice six-figure salary, and first class upgrades. Although you worked a lot, you didn’t mind because you had a bonus, a company car, and a corporate card.
Oh, but then you had a kid! (or kids). Even though you adore that angel face, it sure would be nice to reconnect with the person you are under all the chaos.
Your clothes don't fit like they used to, you constantly grab take-out for family dinners, you worry about your health, your husband's, your kids', you keep saying "I'm going to do better", but all you want at the end of a long day is wine and French fries...
I help high-achieving women over 40 understand how they might be sacrificing their health for a paycheck and actually blocking the life they so desperately want to create for them and their family.
We work together in my online group coaching program or in private coaching to put an end to the idea that the work you do at home and on the job is never enough. I go steps beyond the food you eat to get to the root of why you can't lose the weight, find time for yourself, or be the woman you know you're called to be. We use tools I created to identify the continuum of emotions you experience daily, and a roadmap that teaches you how to manage them. It is my goal that through working together, you’ll be healthier and find peace and happiness among life’s imperfections.
pharmacist, diabetes care and education specialist and certified Health Coach specializing in gut and women's health.
Morning affirmations, cuddles with my adorable son + handsome husband, journaling, a good book, on my yoga mat, my planner, and good supplements and skincare!
Guesting on podcasts, on coaching calls with my perfectly imperfect clients, encouraging other women, and chauffeuring my child.
Shrinking my voice to make other people more comfortable or pretending to be something I'm not.
Straight talk, morning coffee, short emails, data, and cutting out the 'meh' to make room for the very best.
To change my life, I had to first acknowledge that I wasn’t in alignment with what I truly wanted.
I had the fancy corporate title, the company car, the corporate card, an annual bonus, and a large six-figure salary.
This must be what a successful career feels like, I thought…
At least that was the case up until May 2013 when I realized I was a stressed-out workaholic barely enjoying my corporate job and frequent flier status.
That month, my first pregnancy ended in the loss of twin girls who were born early only to pass away shortly thereafter. We were devastated. I questioned everything, even my entire career. And even though this traumatic experience showed me I wanted more for my life, I went back to work shortly after, determined to continue performing at a high level. Oddly enough, I had my best year at work by ”proving” to my employer I could handle it all.
When I finally brought home my first child after my third pregnancy, I realized the paycheck and the platinum status were not nearly as important as I once thought. I was no longer willing to sacrifice my health and my time with my family. Instantly, I had a bigger calling: I wanted to see every moment of my son’s life.
I pursued my passions, starting an online membership for diabetes prevention, sharing my message with women all over the world, and even embracing my love for yoga by becoming an instructor. Through my own exploration and in working with other high-achieving women, I dove deep into the reasons why women struggle with perceived pressure at work and how that affects our health. As a result, I created The Cycle of Proving© and brought it all together in my online program Do Diabetes Differently®, helping high-achieving women reprioritize their lives and stop neglecting their health.

I’ll show you how to release yourself from the pressure to prove and reclaim your right to thrive.
I began to see that I was settling, no longer thriving or creating a life I loved. I knew I needed to start with my health and the things I enjoyed.
real talk:
At some point, you will have to rise up and take a stand against anything and anyone that doesn’t acknowledge that your time is valuable too. At some point, you have to stop settling.
From there, you’ll be ready to release yourself from external expectations that are no longer serving you and those pressures to say yes at times you really should be saying no.
Finally, you can reclaim your time and the life you planned when your journey began. You can start thriving again…
I won’t lie, the journey has been hard and filled with mistakes, but that doesn’t have to be the case for you. Corporate America is still male-dominated and society still places women in the home. And while there is nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home mom, that’s no longer the mainstream. I have a hunch you want more. I have a hunch you are settling for less than and I want to help.
I created my coaching company, Dr. Cori Cooper, LLC., to empower women to create the peace we all desire despite the apparent chaos in our lives. Our experiences may not be quite the same, but we are stronger as women when we conquer them together.
Let’s rise, release and reclaim
