READY TO

For a long time, I didn’t talk about my weight. Mostly because I was embarrassed by it.

I’m a pharmacist. A medical leader. A high-achieving, driven, busy working mom.
I knew the science. I knew the guidelines. I knew what I was “supposed” to do.

And yet, even when I was doing it, my body wasn’t responding the way I expected.

I told myself the same thing many women do:
You just need more discipline.
You’re too busy right now.
Once life slows down, you’ll get it together.

But life didn’t slow down.
And my body wasn’t getting healthier, and it definitely wasn’t getting smaller.

When “Doing Everything Right” Still Isn’t Enough

I exercised. I drank protein shakes, I took supplements, I ate what most people would call “well.”
I powered through exhaustion and focused on my water intake.

But behind the scenes?

My weight kept climbing.

My blood sugar elevated.

My energy was inconsistent.

My confidence was quietly eroding.

And the hardest part wasn’t the number on the scale, although it was kinda alarming, it was the constant feeling that I was failing at something I understood professionally.

That kind of disconnect can really mess with you.

Why GLP-1s Were Never About Taking The Easy Way Out

I shared my frustration with a friend of mine, and I immediately felt judged when I hinted at considering doing more research on whether choosing GLP-1 therapy was a good decision.  She was not a health care provider, mind you…

Around the same time, I shared a frustration about my business with another friend who also happened to be a business coach. I told her not only was I frustrated with my own health results, but I was also frustrated with the health results of the women I was currently coaching. There were just too many inconsistent results, so something must be off, I thought.

I needed to do something different.

She asked me whether I had ever thought about incorporating a GLP-1 option into my coaching.  I told her no, but secretly thinking that I had been considering it for myself personally.  I told her I needed to do some more research, the same thing I had said to my friend a few weeks prior, but hadn’t actually taken the time to do it yet.

That was the nudge I needed….

The next day, after I had that conversation with my friend/business coach, I got an email from a trusted leader in the wellness industry that she was offering a GLP-1 optimization certification, and she was wondering if I was interested.  Funny how the Lord is so kind enough to give blatant signs when He’s not sure you’re getting what He has been trying to tell you.

So yes, I got certified as a GLP-1 Optimization Coach.  And it was just about that time that my friend and business coach said to me, “Hey, I saw this profile on Instagram that you should check out.”  That profile allowed me to now be able to offer GLP-1 therapy to you.

See for me, choosing GLP-1 therapy wasn’t impulsive.
It wasn’t trendy.
And it definitely wasn’t an “easy way out.”

It was a decision rooted in honesty.

Honesty about my health.
Honesty about my stress load.
Honesty about blood sugar and the reality of midlife physiology.

And quite frankly, honesty about the data behind GLP-1 therapy.

I wasn’t looking for a shortcut.
I was looking for support.

And I had to confront something uncomfortable first:
I had internalized the belief that needing help meant weakness and failure.

Fortunately, I now know it doesn’t.

What Surprised Me Most About My GLP-1 Weight Loss

Yes, I lost weight. 46 pounds to be exact.
But that wasn’t the biggest change.

The biggest change was how good I felt on the journey.

It wasn’t a painful, stressful experience like weight loss usually is…

The constant food noise quieted.
My blood sugar stabilized. My hair and my skin thrived.
I could make decisions from clarity instead of exhaustion.

How This Weight Loss Journey Changed More Than My Body

Somewhere along the way, I stopped chasing punishment-based wellness.

I stopped believing I had to suffer to be “good enough.”

I started asking better questions:

  • How do I support my body instead of ignoring it?
  • How do I create habits to reduce inflammation instead of focusing on the scale?
  • How do I lose weight without losing my mind and still protect my future self?

That shift changed everything, not just how I look, but how I live.

GLP-1s aren’t magic.
They’re also not a moral failure.
And they’re not the whole solution.

They’re a tool, and tools work best when used with intention.

I believe in:

Using science without shame.

Supporting the body while it changes.

Building health that lasts longer than the weight loss phase.

And I believe women deserve better than the narrative that they should just “try harder.”

If You’re Considering GLP-1 Therapy, You’re Not Alone…

If you’ve been quietly wondering whether your body needs more support, you’re not alone.

This space is for women who are done fighting themselves.
Women who want real change without sacrificing everything in return.

Women who don’t want to feel bad about the choices they make.
Women who are ready to do weight loss differently.

And if that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
